She has led litigation teams and been involved in all aspects of patent litigation, in district court and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and has argued appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Beth Ferrill focuses her practice on all aspects of design patents, including prosecution, counseling, and litigation. She also has extensive experience in utility patent litigation in the areas of software- and hardware-related technologies. She has appeared before U.S. district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Mike Flibbert leads the firm’s chemical and metallurgical practice group. He has extensive experience in all aspects of patent law, focusing on district court litigation and appeals. After serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Alan D. Lourie at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, he has devoted the last 17 years to litigating patent cases.
Dori Hines focuses her practice on patent litigation and has led teams in U.S. district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and before arbitration panels. She has argued a number of cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ms. Hines’s experience spans a wide range of technologies, but has focused primarily in the electrical area on semiconductor, electronics, smartphone, and telecommunications technologies.
Mike Jakes has broad experience in all aspects of patent law, concentrating his practice on patent litigation and related counseling. He has been lead counsel on many patent cases, including trials in federal district courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and before arbitration panels.
Esther H. Lim has a broad patent practice, including litigation, prosecution, licensing, opinions, due diligence, and portfolio management. She represents international companies from Asia, Europe, and the United States in complex cases. Ms. Lim served as the founding managing partner of the firm’s Shanghai office.
Jennifer Swan focuses her practice on enforcing and defending patent rights for clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and has extensive experience in cases arising from the filing of Abbreviated New Drug Applications.
Andrew Vance has a broad range of experience with patent litigation, prosecution, and counseling. He currently devotes a substantial portion of his practice to litigating patent cases before U.S. district courts. He also maintains a patent prosecution practice, preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, including reissue applications and requests for reexamination, for both domestic and foreign clients.
